Dark Shine is a dark and Gnome Shell theme with transparent white borders that give it a glowing feel. Dark Shine is compatible with Gnome Shell 3.4.

Ubuntu users can install Dark Shine from our themes PPA using the following commands,

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:satyajit-happy/themes
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install gnome-shell-theme-dark-shine

---

Installation Instructions for other distros:

Extract the zip file to the themes directory i.e. "~/.themes/" or "/usr/share/themes/".

Install the User Theme Extension and use the Gnome Tweak tool to choose the themes.

You can use Elegance Colors [link] which includes a preset for Dark Shine. Not the same, but pretty close.

I love the theme, but I have had some problems with the new version aesthetically. Is there any chance you could downsize the panel icons in the top right to the older size, or to the size in your Elegance theme? The current ones are huge and annoy me too much to use the theme. Another, smaller annoyance is that the notification panel at the bottom doesn't seem to be dark enough. I have trouble with reading them when they are over anything remotely white. Could you not change the color/transparency to the same in the menus in the top right?
